Could Animals Survive On Earth Without Plants?

William E. Friedman is director of Harvard University'due south Arnold Arboretum and teaches evolutionary biol ogy. Speaking to Srijana Mitra Das at Times Evoke , he shares the story of how plants evolved — and enabled human life:

What is the core of your research?

I'm an evolutionary biologist. I think of myself as an evolutionary historian — my work seeks to sympathise the birth and early on diversification of flowering plants, the predominant source of diversity amidst photosynthetic country plants.
