I've done the screwdriver trick and if the filter is really stuck on, you'll only tear up the outer casing of the filter so 'expert luck' finding something to catch that twisted upwardly sheet metal.

In my opinion; the best manner to remove a stuck oil filter would be to just utilize oil filter pliers. grab it about 1/4 inch abroad from the base and go a good grip. The pliers themselves beat out the filter but just enough to get a expert concord of it.
This. Oil filter pliers. They're like $10 for a shitty one at autozone, just it volition become the job washed. Can't stand band wrenches or even filter cups anymore. Just a good oil filter pliers.

If y'all can't get a leather belt or strap-wrench, practice this. Do information technology as shut to the bottom of the filter as possible.

I always say if you need a new engine, become your oil changed at Walmart. They're notorious for leaving bleed plugs out.
Haha That's pretty good.
Anyways thanks gents, I'll endeavor some of your ideas when I become habitation today and let you know how it goes. I've modify oil filters dozens and dozens of times merely since this one is pretty damn shell and VERY stubborn I just wanted to consult others who've had like issues before going to extreme lengths to take it off, just and so I don't hurt the housing or something.
Thank you again.
